Skid Unit Recent Delivery - Pleasant Hill Fire District

On March 16th, Pleasant Hill Fire District in Oregon “geared up" for wildland season by taking delivery of a 300 gallon End Mount Skid Unit. The unit features an NFF4 High-Pressure Four-Stage Pump, 18HP Honda Motor and Hannay Steel Electric Reel. PHFD plans to use the unit as their primary response unit for grass and Wildland fires.

Kidde Fire Extinguisher Recall 2/12/15

Kidde has recalled 31 models of their disposable fire extinguishers with Zytel® black plastic valves. The recalled extinguishers are red, white or silver and are either ABC or BC rated. Manufacture dates included in the recall are July 23, 2013 through October 15, 2014. Kidde has received 11 reports of the recalled fire extinguishers failing to discharge as expected. No injuries have been reported.
