On March 16th, Pleasant Hill Fire District in Oregon “geared up" for wildland season by taking delivery of a 300 gallon End Mount Skid Unit. The unit features an NFF4 High-Pressure Four-Stage Pump, 18HP Honda Motor and Hannay Steel Electric Reel. PHFD plans to use the unit as their primary response unit for grass and Wildland fires.
PHFD is a primarily volunteer agency providing fire protection and EMS/Rescue service to the patrons of both Pleasant Hill and Jasper, Oregon. The District operates primarily on the dedicated help of 25 volunteer firefighters and EMT's. These dedicated individuals help to provide emergency services to 26 square miles of homes, businesses, commercial/industrial operations and farming/agricultural.
