9 1/2” wide cupped head with square back that prevents debris loss. 8 1/2” tall, with 7” of digging depth.  48” straight stout ash or 40” S-shaped, fire roasted, hickory handle. Blade-to-ground surface is flat for maximum contact. Weighs 5.3 lbs.

The heads are created with a special heat-treating process that makes them superior to other digging tools. All forest fire tools come with heat-treated prevailing torque lock nuts.
