Made out of Tencate Style 469 and Style 362, the CAL FIRE Jacket utilizes an innovative two-fabric design to improve breathability on the body, while maximizing protection on the arms where it is needed most. This single layer garment features a bi-swing back for ease of motion, a patch chest pocket with hook and loop flap closure, an angled radio pocket with hook and loop flap closure and mic tab, and 2" reflective triple trim on the hem and forearms for added visibility. Features hook and loop cuff tabs 2" up from the sleeve hem, stand-up style collar with hook and loop closure, hanger loop at inside center back of the coat below the collar and zippered front closure mounted on Nomex tape and stitched to prevent direct contact with the body.

The CAL FIRE Spec was created to produce better THL performance while enhancing the overall TPP. The spec utilizes multiple performance fabrics to increase protection and breathability, while maintaining a RPP (radiant protective performance) of 10. Certified to NFPA 1977, this lightweight garment is a unique interface design approved by CAL FIRE.

Tencate Style 469 and 362
The CAL FIRE Jacket utilizes an innovative dual fabric system to maximize protection and function. For the body we used Tencate Style 362. This light weight fabric is known for it's superior breathability characteristics, so it is only natural that you would find it where most of your body heat is generated.

Since extremities are more prone to burns on the fire line we needed a tougher, more protective material for the arms. For this we turned to TenCate Style 469.

Both Style 362 and 469 were engineered for the optimum combination of thermal protection and durability while still providing unparalleled comfort. These rugged fabrics stand up to the toughest terrain, long hours and hard labor of real-world wildland firefighting.
